Continious professional development is such an important thing to execute! I managed to squeeze in 2 trainings in Ameraica. I am a qualifed neurology music therapist and a music therapy assisted childbirth specialist!
Neurology music therapy is important as part of rehabilitation process for Stroke, brain injury. It uses music as a tool to re-program our brain and to aid the process of re-learning.
Music Therapy assisted childbirth foucses on the emotional support for the mother. Music has been used as a source of pain relief, bonding for the child and with the husband. The therapist acts as a containing figure here to support the process of birth giving.
